UNSPSC 24121812: Drum filling machine

Drum filling machines enable accurate control and measurement of liquid materials in an industrial environment. Whether automatic, semi-automatic, or manual, the system is designed to provide an increased level of automation during the filling process.

UNSPSC 24121812 Drum filling machine is a Commodity code, but the recent state and local procurement activity under this code does not align with the nominal scope. The Orange County Transportation Authority posted a request for quotes for removal, transport, recycling, and disposal of hazardous waste—used oil, antifreeze, filters, brake fluid, aerosol cans, and medical waste—rather than equipment to fill drums. The solicitation calls for a contractor to manage six waste streams across five OCTA locations, with pickups required every 90 days and on-demand within five business days, supported by comprehensive regulatory compliance and documentation. This represents a hazardous-waste management service, not the sale or lease of drum-filling machinery.

The Orange County Transportation Authority is the sole issuing body represented in recent activity under this code. The RFQ closed August 18, 2026, with a one-year contract value of $55,000 and award on a time-and-expense basis to the lowest responsive and responsible respondent. The code shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its nominal equipment scope; the single posted opportunity reflects a tagging mismatch rather than active state and local procurement of drum-filling machines.
