UNSPSC 24121512: Cold pack or ice brick

Devices that are included in packaging of perishable products to keep perishable items cold while in transit.

UNSPSC 24121512 Cold pack or ice brick is a Commodity code covering reusable thermal packs and ice bricks used for temperature-controlled storage and transport. State and local governments procure these supplies primarily for school foodservice operations, medical and laboratory applications, and emergency preparedness stockpiling. The issuing bodies soliciting under this code include school districts and other educational institutions that manage cafeteria and central warehouse operations requiring cold-chain logistics.

Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas posted RFP2026094 on June 17, 2026 for miscellaneous warehouse supplies with a response deadline of July 9, 2026, which included cold packs and related thermal products in its scope. The solicitation required bidders to include shipping and handling costs in their proposals. Recent activity under this code remains sparse; no other state or local opportunities are present in the available records, suggesting either limited procurement frequency or that cold packs are often bundled into broader warehouse-supply or foodservice-equipment contracts rather than solicited as standalone line items.
