UNSPSC 24112113: Static fuel drum

Fuel container such as a steel drum for transporting, storing that allows for the pouring of a flammable liquid has the potential of generating static electricity.

UNSPSC 24112113 Static fuel drum, a Commodity code, captures state and local procurement of stationary fuel storage containers designed to hold and dispense petroleum products and other fuels at fixed locations. State and local governments purchase static fuel drums for fleet fueling operations, emergency response equipment staging, maintenance facilities, and portable power generation sites. The drums are typically constructed from steel or polyethylene, range in capacity from 30 to 500+ gallons, and often include secondary containment, spill prevention equipment, or integrated dispensing systems to meet environmental and safety regulations. Issuing bodies soliciting under this code include state transportation and fleet management departments, county facilities and public works offices, city public utilities and emergency services, and special-purpose districts managing wastewater and water treatment infrastructure.

The recent opportunities block contains no posted solicitations for static fuel drums, indicating minimal current activity under this code in the state and local market. Without recent RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB notices in the source, geographic concentration and representative procurement patterns cannot be established from current data.
