UNSPSC 24101633: Hoist drums

UNSPSC 24101633 Hoist drums, a Commodity code, encompasses winch and lifting drum assemblies that state and local governments procure for material handling, construction support, and maintenance operations. These drums—cylindrical assemblies that wind cable or rope for hoisting, lowering, or pulling loads—appear in solicitations for equipment acquisition, replacement parts, and integrated lifting systems across public works, transportation, facilities management, and emergency services. The code reflects procurement of both standalone drum units and drums integrated into larger lifting apparatus, typically sourced through competitive bid cycles where specifications address drum capacity, material composition, cable compatibility, and brake or control integration.

No recent state and local contract opportunities tagged to UNSPSC 24101633 appear in the available source material. The code shows little current activity in the posted opportunities block, limiting visibility into active issuing bodies, geographic distribution, or near-term procurement volume. Without documented recent solicitations, the current market appetite for hoist drums under this code remains unclear; interested vendors should monitor state and local procurement portals directly or establish relationships with departments of transportation, public works authorities, and facilities management offices in target regions to surface demand as it emerges.
