UNSPSC 23291802: External threading holder

UNSPSC 23291802 External threading holder is a Commodity code that captures specialized fastening and machine components used in industrial and manufacturing contexts, though state and local solicitation activity under this specific code is sparse. The two recent opportunities posted show minimal alignment with the code's nominal scope: Sourcewell's RFP #061626 for law enforcement equipment (due June 16, 2026) and the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point's IFB for paper machine stock tank upgrades including false bottoms and drain valves (due April 16, 2026) do not reflect direct procurement of external threading holders. The mismatch suggests either tagging inconsistency within state and local procurement systems or that external threading holders are incidental components within broader solicitations rather than standalone line items being actively sought by state and local buyers.

Geographic activity is limited to Minnesota (Sourcewell, coordinating a multi-state cooperative framework) and Wisconsin (University of Wisconsin Stevens Point), with no evidence of sustained procurement momentum in other states. State and local issuing bodies appear to treat external threading holders as sub-assembly components integrated into larger equipment or machinery purchases rather than as distinct procurement targets. Given the narrow and unaligned recent record, this code shows little current traction for vendors specializing in external threading holder supply or service at the state and local level.
