UNSPSC 23291702: Brazed reamer

UNSPSC 23291702 Brazed reamer, a Commodity code, shows no recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The recent opportunities tagged to this code include industrial CNC routers, press brakes, 3D printers, and law enforcement equipment—none of which are brazed reamers or related cutting tools. The mismatch between the code's definition and the actual solicitations indicates either miscategorization in the state and local procurement systems or a fundamental misalignment in how this Commodity code is being applied in practice. Without opportunities that genuinely reflect brazed reamer procurement, the code offers minimal signal for business development targeting.

The only identifiable issuer across the tagged opportunities is the Texas A&M University System, which has posted multiple ITBs since September 2026 for equipment procurement (press brakes, 3D printers, CNC routers) through the AggieBid electronic platform, with Sterling Crowdus as the procurement contact. A separate RFP from Sourcewell (a Minnesota local government unit and service cooperative) for Law Enforcement Equipment was also tagged to this code but bears no relevance to brazed reamer supply. Given the consistent miscoding and absence of genuine reamer solicitations in the recent-opportunities dataset, pursuit of this code is not recommended without clarification on how state and local procurement offices actually classify brazed reamer purchases.
