UNSPSC 23251711: Steam hammer forging machine

A type of forging machine that ascends and descends with the hammer head by the vapor force to forging the material.

UNSPSC 23251711 Steam hammer forging machine (Commodity) shows little relevant recent activity under this code. The single recent state and local opportunity tagged with this classification — Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners' ITB2600073 for sand delivery to support sandbag operations — falls outside the scope of steam hammer forging equipment. The mismatch suggests either miscoding of the opportunity or minimal procurement activity under the Commodity code itself within the state and local market. No other recent state or local solicitations appear in the current data.

The Hillsborough County opportunity (posted March 4, 2026; due March 27, 2026; estimated value $617,490.00 over three years) involves supply and delivery of sand on an as-needed basis with response requirements of 24 hours for non-declared emergencies and four hours for declared emergencies, bonded by comprehensive general liability, automobile liability, and specialized coverages. Without additional recent solicitations under the actual steam hammer forging machine classification, the code does not support a meaningful characterization of current issuing-body mix, geographic concentration, or market momentum in state and local procurement.
