UNSPSC 23241642: Speed threader

A type of ready-to-use combination die/die-stock for repairing external threads on bolts and threaded rod.

UNSPSC 23241642 Speed threader is a Commodity code showing minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The three most recent opportunities tagged under this code involve janitorial and operational supplies for Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, emergency bridge replacement for Orange County, and stormwater infrastructure assessment for the City of Palm Bay — none of which involve speed threaders or closely related fastening tools. The mismatch between the code's product classification and the actual work being solicited suggests either tagging error in the source data or that speed threaders are incidental line items within broader consumables or construction contracts rather than primary procurement drivers in state and local government.

Geographic activity is concentrated in Florida, with Hillsborough County (ITB 26-00319, janitorial supplies due July 24, 2026, estimated contract value $765,679.84), Orange County (emergency bridge replacement Y26-742, estimated $6,202,246.05, bids due July 7, 2026), and the City of Palm Bay (RFI 38RFI26 for stormwater rehabilitation, response deadline June 9, 2026) posting recent notices. The issuing bodies span county governments and municipalities. No clear pattern of repeat procurement or sustained demand under this code emerges from the available recent opportunities. Business development professionals should verify whether speed threaders are genuinely sourced through state and local competitive procurement or whether this code assignment reflects upstream taxonomy misalignment rather than active market opportunity.
