UNSPSC 23241632: Dovetail cutter

A type of cutter used to produce dovetail slides for machine tool tables, jigs and fixtures

UNSPSC 23241632 Dovetail cutter is a Commodity code that does not reflect the work actually being solicited under it in recent state and local activity. The two most recent opportunities posted under this code involve bolt cutters (City of Philadelphia micro purchase) and janitorial and operational supplies (Hillsborough County Fire Rescue consumable goods). Neither solicitation concerns dovetail cutters or woodworking tools. The code shows a mismatch between its nominal scope and current state and local procurement practice under the classification.

Activity under this code is sparse and geographically limited to recent postings in Pennsylvania and Florida. The City of Philadelphia issued an IFB for bolt cutters with a response date of September 4, 2026, and Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners issued an ITB for janitorial and operational supplies (estimated contract value $765,679.84 for one year) with a response date of July 24, 2026, for delivery to the Public Safety Operations Complex in Tampa, Florida. The issuing bodies span a city government and a county government. Without additional recent opportunities supporting the code's nominal scope, procurement professionals should verify the correct UNSPSC classification before pursuing work under this code.
