UNSPSC 23241626: Convex cutter

A type of high speed steel cutter that is form-relieved for milling concave half circles in all types of materials.

UNSPSC 23241626 Convex cutter is a Commodity code with minimal recent state and local procurement activity. The single posted opportunity under this code is Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners ITB 2600319, a request for competitive sealed bids on janitorial and operational supplies due July 24, 2026, valued at $765,679.84 — a broad consumables contract for the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Department that does not align with the code's stated scope of convex cutting tools. The mismatch suggests that state and local procurement offices may apply this code imprecisely to general-supplies categories, or that the code sees limited actual use in state and local purchasing.

The code shows no meaningful geographic or issuing-body distribution in recent activity. Hillsborough County, Florida is the sole identified buyer in the most-recent opportunities block, and the nature of that solicitation (janitorial supplies for fire rescue operations on an as-needed basis, with delivery to a single operations complex in Tampa) does not reflect typical purchasing patterns for convex cutters or precision tools. Unless this code appears in additional opportunities not captured in the source, pursuit should be deferred pending clearer evidence of relevant state and local demand.
