UNSPSC 23231901: Base bed

UNSPSC 23231901 Base bed is a Commodity code that captures miscellaneous furnishings and equipment pieces procured by state and local entities, though recent solicitation activity under this code shows limited direct relevance to the code's nominal scope. The most recent opportunities posted include a Sourcewell cooperative-purchasing RFP for law enforcement equipment and a Georgia technical college eRFQ for woodworking equipment — neither of which aligns cleanly with "base bed" procurement. State and local issuing bodies using this code span cooperative purchasing vehicles (Sourcewell), state technical college systems (Technical College System of Georgia), and multi-jurisdictional purchasing consortia advertised under state intergovernmental-cooperation statutes.

Geographic activity centers on Washington state and Georgia based on recent postings. Sourcewell's law enforcement equipment RFP (#061626, due June 16, 2026) is a cooperative-purchasing solicitation spanning Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima counties in Washington, plus jurisdictions throughout the United States and Canada. The Technical College System of Georgia's woodworking-equipment eRFQ (#41500TCS0000226, due April 6, 2026) targets one-time purchase for Southern Regional Technical College's Carpentry Program at the Moultrie Campus. The code shows minimal recent activity aligned with its stated commodity focus, suggesting either misclassification of opportunities in state procurement systems or infrequent direct solicitation of base beds under this specific code.
