UNSPSC 23231500: Lumber sorters and accessories

UNSPSC 23231500 Lumber sorters and accessories is a Class code that shows little relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The single recent opportunity posted under this code—Sourcewell RFP #061626, due June 16, 2026—is a law enforcement equipment solicitation issued by Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government cooperative, on behalf of participating entities across Washington state (Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima counties) and numerous other jurisdictions nationwide. This opportunity bears no relationship to lumber sorters or woodworking accessories, suggesting either a miscoding in the state or local system or a data-entry error that flagged the solicitation under an unrelated UNSPSC category.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and actual procurement activity limits actionability for vendors in the lumber-sorting or woodworking-equipment space. No recent state and local opportunities soliciting lumber sorters, wood-sorting machinery, or related accessories appear in the available record. Firms pursuing work under this code should verify their target jurisdictions' actual procurement classifications and monitor commodity-code alignments directly with issuing bodies rather than relying on posted UNSPSC tags, as miscoding appears common in cooperative-purchasing frameworks.
