UNSPSC 23181522: Seed or nut sheller

Machine that removes the shells of nuts or seeds.

UNSPSC 23181522 Seed or nut sheller is a Commodity code that shows no recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The three most recent opportunities tagged to this code—a Klein Independent School District RFP for Career Technical Education instructional resources and equipment (posted April 2026), a Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners IB for supplemental groceries (posted March 2026), and a Seminole County School Board ITB for commercial kitchen equipment (posted February 2026)—are unrelated to seed or nut shelling equipment and appear to reflect miscoding or overly broad category assignment in the sourcing systems.

The code lacks demonstrable recent activity in state and local procurement for its actual product category. No issuing bodies are soliciting seed or nut shellers; no geographic concentration or representative opportunities exist in this market segment. Firms pursuing contracts under this code should verify category assignments in specific RFPs, RFQs, IBs, or ITBs before investing in response preparation, as the code itself does not reflect current state and local demand for this equipment type.
