UNSPSC 23161700: Foundry dies and tooling

Dies and tooling used with foundry equipment.

UNSPSC 23161700 Foundry dies and tooling, a Class code, does not align with recent state and local procurement activity tagged under it. The single recent opportunity on record — Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners' ITB2600073 for sand delivery to support sandbag operations — falls outside the code's nominal scope of foundry equipment and tooling. The county is soliciting supply and delivery of bulk sand materials for emergency response and operational use, not manufacturing dies, molds, or related foundry tooling.

This code shows little relevant recent activity in state and local procurement. The mismatch between the code's intended use and the sole identified opportunity suggests either a tagging error in the source or that foundry dies and tooling represent a niche or infrequent purchase category among state and local buyers. Hillsborough County, Florida posted the sand-delivery ITB on March 4, 2026, with a bid due date of March 27, 2026, under a three-year supply contract estimated at $617,490.00, but this procurement has no connection to foundry dies and tooling procurement patterns.
