UNSPSC 23161501: Foundry blowers

UNSPSC 23161501 Foundry blowers (Commodity) does not align with actual state and local procurement activity under this code. The single recent opportunity on record—Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners' ITB2600073 for sand delivery to support sandbag operations—falls outside the foundry equipment scope the code nominally covers. The County seeks sand suppliers capable of rapid response to emergency and non-emergency fill requests, not foundry blowers or foundry-related equipment. No additional recent opportunities under this code appear in the state and local procurement record.

The mismatch between the code taxonomy and the recorded solicitation suggests either a coding error in the procurement notice or minimal market activity under UNSPSC 23161501 in state and local government. Without additional opportunities to characterize issuing-body patterns, geographic concentration, or representative work in the foundry equipment space, this code presents limited visibility into actual state and local demand for foundry blowers. Business development professionals tracking this code should monitor for corrections to the Hillsborough County notice or watch for additional solicitations that better reflect the foundry equipment scope; the current activity does not support a pursue decision.
