UNSPSC 23153144: Spray block

Block that holds and supplies the water to dust supression spray in coal mining operations

UNSPSC 23153144 Spray block, a Commodity code, does not appear in recent state and local procurement activity. The code's nominal scope—spray blocks, which are foam or plastic barriers used in construction to control concrete placement and forming—does not align with the posted opportunities in the dataset. The recent solicitations tagged under this code span unrelated work including kitchen remodels, erosion control retaining walls, water utility relocations, boardwalk construction, emergency bridge replacements, equipment purchases (generators, plate compactors, robotics kits, power supplies, forestry equipment), pre-qualification for industrial machinery components, security system upgrades at correctional facilities, and cooperative purchasing vehicles for law enforcement equipment and billing services. None of these activities involve spray blocks or spray-block installation.

The mismatch between code assignment and actual work scope suggests either a data classification error in the source system or that spray blocks are not a meaningful procurement category in state and local government activity at this time. No issuing body is pursuing spray block procurement in the recent-opportunities block, no geographic concentration is evident, and no representative solicitation exists to characterize market activity. If spray-block contracting is occurring within state and local government, it is not surfacing in current public notice activity under this code.
