UNSPSC 23153030: Linear motion guides

UNSPSC 23153030 Linear motion guides is a Commodity code that addresses precision mechanical components used in automated or precision-positioning equipment, yet the recent state and local procurement record under this code shows minimal alignment with the code's nominal scope. The single recent opportunity tagged to this code—DeKalb County's June 2026 ITB for reconstruction of the DeKalb Tennis Center—centers on IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation (conduit, cabling, raceways, terminations, and testing) rather than linear motion guides or precision mechanical assemblies. The mismatch suggests that either the code assignment reflects a data error in the procurement system or that the opportunity was broadly tagged to multiple commodity codes that do not reflect its actual work scope.

The activity appears concentrated in Georgia, specifically a county-level issuing body. Without additional recent opportunities clearly aligned to the linear motion guides commodity scope, the code shows little documented state and local procurement demand for this product category at present. Business development professionals should monitor whether future solicitations under this code better reflect its intended scope or if the current record represents a sustained pattern of miscategorization.
