UNSPSC 23152908: Bottle washing machine

A machine that removes impure substances from the interior and exterior surfaces of bottles and processes them for washing, sterilizing and drying.

UNSPSC 23152908 Bottle washing machine is a Commodity code, but the recent state and local solicitations posted under it do not align with its nominal scope. Texas A&M University System has posted multiple ITBs since September 2026 — for press brakes, 3D printers, and an industrial CNC router — none of which are bottle washing machines. A single RFP from Sourcewell (a Minnesota cooperative purchasing vehicle) for law enforcement equipment in May 2026 is likewise unrelated to the code's stated category. The mismatch suggests either a systematic tagging error in the posting system or that this code sees little relevant recent procurement activity. State and local buyers do not appear to be actively sourcing bottle washing machines under this code designation.

Without recent opportunities that align with the code's actual scope, it is not possible to characterize the issuing-body mix, geographic spread, or representative work patterns. The Texas A&M opportunities are concentrated in a single buyer and use the AggieBid electronic platform, but they address equipment categories outside the code's definition. Prospective vendors evaluating activity under UNSPSC 23152908 should verify code accuracy with issuing bodies or seek alternative code paths for bottle-washing equipment procurement.
