UNSPSC 23152907: Packaging machinery supplies

Includes sealing bars and wires, suckers that grab paper or plastics, plows that push box lids down, heaters for film, vacuum dies, steel rule cutting dies, fingers that hold open bags for filling, etc.

UNSPSC 23152907 Packaging machinery supplies (Commodity) does not align with the recent state and local opportunities posted under this code. The two most recent solicitations—a cooperative law enforcement equipment procurement and a university pilot paper machine tank upgrade—fall outside the packaging machinery supplies scope and appear to be miscoded by the issuing bodies.

The law enforcement equipment RFP issued by Sourcewell, a Minnesota service cooperative, closed June 16, 2026, and targeted a multistate cooperative purchasing vehicle serving thousands of governmental agencies, higher education institutions, school districts, and tribal governments across the United States and Canada. The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point's IFB for paper machine stock tank upgrades (false bottom and automatic drain valve installation) closed April 16, 2026, and required a mandatory pre-bid site visit on March 26, 2026. Neither solicitation involves packaging machinery supplies as a primary scope. The code shows little relevant recent activity and the posted records suggest a tagging mismatch rather than active state and local procurement in the packaging machinery supplies category itself.
