UNSPSC 23121507: Weaving machines

UNSPSC 23121507 Weaving machines is a Commodity code that captures state and local procurement of specialized textile production equipment. The code sees minimal recent activity in state and local contracting; no recent opportunities in the available record match this specific commodity code or describe weaving machine acquisitions by public agencies. The code's narrow application—it targets industrial textile manufacturing equipment rather than consumables or services—limits its relevance to most state and local jurisdictions, which rarely operate textile mills or apparel production facilities as core government functions.

The absence of recent solicitations under this code reflects the broader contraction of domestic government-operated manufacturing operations and the specialized nature of weaving equipment procurement. State and local agencies that require textile goods typically source finished products through broader commodity codes or cooperative purchasing arrangements rather than acquiring machinery. Firms pursuing textile equipment opportunities should monitor related Commodity and Class codes focused on machinery maintenance, lease, or sale to government vocational training programs or correctional facilities, where such equipment occasionally appears, rather than relying on activity directly under 23121507.
