UNSPSC 23101537: Belt and disc sander

A machine that is used for woodwork that combines the functions of disc sander and belt sander.

UNSPSC 23101537 Belt and disc sander is a Commodity code with minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned to its nominal scope. The single recent opportunity posted under this code is a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing RFP (#061626, due June 16, 2026) for law enforcement equipment — a category unrelated to abrasive sanding tools. The mismatch suggests either a cataloging anomaly or a vendor-submitted tagging error rather than active procurement demand for belt and disc sanders through state and local channels under this code identifier.

Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government unit and service cooperative, issued the RFP on behalf of participating entities including Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima counties in Washington, with eligibility extended to governmental agencies, higher education institutions, K–12 school districts, nonprofit organizations, tribal governments, and public entities throughout the United States and Canada. The resulting contract will function as a cooperative purchasing vehicle available to thousands of jurisdictions. Given the absence of any belt and disc sander solicitations in the recent-opportunities block, the code shows no actionable procurement signal for equipment aligned to its product definition.
