UNSPSC 20122331: Other Slickline Tools

UNSPSC 20122331 Other Slickline Tools (Commodity) does not appear to align with the recent state and local contract opportunities posted under this code. The City of Tucson Environmental and General Services Division issued RFP No. 240011 in September 2026 for EPA-certified refrigerant reclamation and gas extraction services at the Los Reales Sustainability Campus—a municipal environmental compliance and asset management function that falls outside the scope of slickline tools, which are specialized wireline equipment used in oil and gas well intervention. Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government cooperative, posted RFP #061626 on behalf of participating counties and public entities throughout the United States and Canada seeking law enforcement equipment—another category wholly unrelated to slickline tooling. The code shows little relevant recent activity; both posted opportunities are mislabeled or misclassified under this UNSPSC designation and offer no signal about actual demand for slickline tools among state and local buyers.

Without representative solicitations for slickline tools or related wireline intervention equipment, the issuing-body mix, geographic concentration, and procurement patterns for this code cannot be characterized from available state and local sources. Firms evaluating pursuit under UNSPSC 20122331 should verify that future opportunities are correctly classified before committing proposal resources.
