UNSPSC 20122105: Firing heads

UNSPSC 20122105 Firing heads, a Commodity code, covers components and assemblies used in law enforcement weapons systems and equipment. State and local governments procure firing pins, hammers, strikers, and related firing mechanisms as replacement parts, maintenance components, or integrated systems within broader law enforcement equipment acquisitions. Issuing bodies include county sheriff's offices, municipal police departments, and state law enforcement agencies, which source these components either as standalone replacements or as part of cooperative purchasing agreements that bundle law enforcement equipment across multiple jurisdictions. Firing heads also reach public safety training facilities and criminal justice education programs operated by community colleges and universities.

Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government cooperative, issued RFP #061626 on May 12, 2026, with a response deadline of June 16, 2026, to establish a statewide and multi-state contracting vehicle for law enforcement equipment available to county and municipal agencies throughout Washington, multiple counties including Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima, plus thousands of governmental entities across the United States and Canada. The RFP uses a cooperative purchasing structure to consolidate demand and establish framework terms for vendors serving public safety departments and agencies. No specific award value, set-asides, or incumbent information appears in available documentation.
