UNSPSC 20121802: Mud motors

UNSPSC 20121802 Mud motors (Commodity) shows minimal relevant recent state and local procurement activity; the single recent opportunity tagged to this code—Sourcewell RFP #061626 for Law Enforcement Equipment—does not align with the code's stated scope of drilling mud motors. The mismatch suggests either a coding error in the source data or a narrowly specialized category that does not drive routine state and local solicitations under its nominal taxonomy descriptor.

The Sourcewell cooperative purchasing vehicle (a Minnesota local government unit and service cooperative) issued the RFP on behalf of participating entities including Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima counties in Washington, with scope available to thousands of governmental agencies, school districts, nonprofit organizations, and tribal governments across the United States and Canada. The RFP, posted May 12, 2026 with a due date of June 16, 2026, sought proposals through the Sourcewell Procurement Portal; no set-asides, dollar ranges, or award values were disclosed in available documentation. The resulting contract was structured to allow flexible utilization through participating addenda with Sourcewell's framework. Without additional recent opportunities clearly aligned to mud motor procurement in the state and local market, no reliable characterization of geographic concentration, issuing-body mix, or representative work scope can be drawn from this source.
