UNSPSC 20121721: Fishing magnet

A powerful permanent magnet designed to recover metallic objects lost in a well.

UNSPSC 20121721 Fishing magnet, a Commodity code, shows little relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The single recent opportunity posted under this code — Sourcewell's RFP #061626 for Law Enforcement Equipment, issued May 12, 2026 with a June 16, 2026 response deadline — does not align with the code's nominal scope. That solicitation seeks general law enforcement equipment through a cooperative purchasing vehicle serving multiple Washington counties and thousands of public entities nationwide, and does not reference fishing magnets or marine recovery equipment. The code's abstract name does not match the work actually being procured in state and local markets at present.

No additional recent opportunities in the source support procurement of fishing magnets or related magnetic recovery tools under UNSPSC 20121721. Business development professionals evaluating this code should verify whether state and local agencies are acquiring such products under a different UNSPSC classification, or whether demand for fishing magnets through government procurement vehicles remains minimal or localized. The single posted record shows a mismatch between the code assignment and actual procurement scope.
