UNSPSC 20121319: Seal assembly locators

UNSPSC 20121319 Seal assembly locators (Commodity) does not align with recent state and local procurement activity posted under this code. The two most recent opportunities—a gas extraction and refrigerant recovery contract from the City of Tucson and a broad law enforcement equipment cooperative purchasing vehicle from Sourcewell on behalf of multiple Washington State counties—are substantively unrelated to seal assembly locators. The Tucson solicitation centers on EPA-certified refrigerant reclamation services, environmental compliance, and gas documentation, while the Sourcewell RFP establishes a statewide cooperative contracting framework for law enforcement equipment across thousands of public entities nationwide. Neither procurement involves seal assembly locators or products bearing that descriptor.

The code shows minimal relevant recent activity. State and local procurement offices may be tagging opportunities to this code incorrectly, or the code receives sparse use in current state and local markets. Before pursuing this code, verify whether recent opportunities in your target jurisdictions actually specify seal assembly locators or whether the mismatch reflects broader misclassification in the issuing bodies' internal taxonomy. If actual seal assembly locator demand exists in your target market, search the issuing bodies' procurement portals directly by commodity description rather than UNSPSC code.
