UNSPSC 20121005: Acidizing air piping

UNSPSC 20121005 Acidizing air piping, a Commodity code, shows minimal alignment with recent state and local procurement activity. The code nominally describes specialized industrial piping equipment used in acidizing operations, typically associated with oil and gas extraction or industrial chemical processing; however, the single recent opportunity tagged under this code is a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing RFP for law enforcement equipment, which bears no relationship to acidizing systems or air piping infrastructure. The mismatch suggests either a data-entry error in the source record or that state and local agencies are not currently soliciting acidizing air piping through standard procurement channels.

No recent state and local opportunities for acidizing air piping are evident in the available records. The Sourcewell RFP #061626, posted May 12, 2026 with a response deadline of June 16, 2026, is tagged under this code but requests law enforcement equipment for participating entities across Washington and other jurisdictions — a scope entirely outside the code's industrial piping domain. Business development professionals should assume this code carries no active state and local procurement volume at present and verify the correct UNSPSC classification directly with issuing bodies if acidizing or air piping services are part of the firm's portfolio.
