UNSPSC 13111069: Polyacrylonitrile resin

UNSPSC 13111069 Polyacrylonitrile resin, a Commodity code, covers the procurement of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) resin materials by state and local government bodies. PAN resin serves as a precursor material in the production of carbon fiber, acrylic fibers, and other advanced composite products used in infrastructure, transportation, and manufacturing applications. State and local governments acquire this material primarily through state departments of transportation, public works agencies, and municipal utilities that source carbon fiber composites and related materials for bridge reinforcement, pipeline repair, structural rehabilitation, and vehicle components. The code also covers acquisition by state departments overseeing materials science research, equipment fabrication, and industrial supply chains where advanced resins are inputs to larger manufacturing or construction projects.

The source material provided contains no recent state and local contract opportunities under this code, and therefore does not support characterization of issuing-body concentration, geographic spread, or representative recent solicitations. Without posted RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB notices naming this code, current procurement activity under UNSPSC 13111069 in the state and local market cannot be determined from available data.
