UNSPSC 13111028: Alkyd

UNSPSC 13111028 Alkyd, a Commodity code, covers alkyd-based paints and coatings that state and local governments procure for facility maintenance, infrastructure protection, and asset preservation. Alkyd products—synthetic resin-based paints formulated for durability, adhesion, and weather resistance—appear in maintenance and repair work across departments managing buildings, vehicles, equipment, and outdoor infrastructure. State departments of transportation, facilities management divisions, public works agencies, and school districts are typical buyers; transit authorities and special-purpose districts managing water, wastewater, or utility infrastructure also purchase under this code for corrosion control and protective coating applications.

The source provided contains no recent state and local contract opportunities tagged to UNSPSC 13111028. Without active solicitation records, geographic concentration and issuing-body frequency cannot be determined from current market activity. Firms pursuing this code should monitor cooperative purchasing vehicles and state-level facilities maintenance contracts, as alkyd coatings are routine line items in larger RFQs and ITBs for building maintenance supplies and vehicle fleet upkeep, but the absence of direct opportunities in the current data suggests either sparse direct solicitation or categorization under higher-tier paint and coating codes in most recent postings.
