UNSPSC 11162107: Resin impregnated fabric or cloth

UNSPSC 11162107 Resin impregnated fabric or cloth is a Commodity code covering custom fabrication, repair, and replacement of marine-grade and waterproof canvas items that state and local governments procure for operational support. The County of Orange, Sheriff-Coroner recently solicited competitive bids for repair and replacement of canvas and marine articles to support Harbor Patrol operations, including bimini covers, side curtains, fire extinguisher covers, seat covers, boat covers, tarps, and zipper repairs. Work under this code spans both fabrication of new items and repair services, typically ordered on a time and material basis with hourly labor rates. County and municipal sheriff and harbor agencies appear to be the primary issuing bodies for canvas and marine-fabric services, driven by fleet and vessel maintenance needs at waterfront facilities.

The recent activity shown is concentrated in California, specifically Orange County. The County of Orange, Sheriff-Coroner issued IFB MA06026010722SC with a response deadline of February 6, 2026, for repair and replacement services across three locations: Corona Del Mar, Dana Point, and Sunset Beach. The solicitation offered a five percent preference for County of Orange Local Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise certified bidders, with a maximum preference deduction of $100,000. The contract structure is three calendar years from execution with potential renewal for two additional one-year terms, subject to County Board of Supervisors approval. Successful bidders must carry $1,000,000 in general liability and automobile liability coverage, hold an active California State Contractor's License, and provide proof of D-U-N-S and Unique Entity Identifier numbers.
