UNSPSC 11151718: Metalicized yarn

Yarn made of partially or entirely of metal.

UNSPSC 11151718 Metallicized yarn, a Commodity code, addresses a narrow textile input — yarn with metallic coating or content used in functional and decorative applications across state and local procurement. State and local governments procure metallicized yarn primarily for uniform and apparel production, particularly for law enforcement and fire service dress uniforms where reflective or visibility-enhancing properties are required, and for specialized workwear and safety applications in transportation and public works. The code also captures metallicized yarn used in furnishings, banners, and insignia for government buildings and facilities. Issuing bodies are predominantly state departments (including corrections, law enforcement, and transportation), municipalities, and county governments; school districts and special-purpose districts appear less frequently in this category.

The source provides no recent state and local contract opportunities under UNSPSC 11151718 Metallicized yarn. Without posted solicitations, the geographic distribution of activity and current procurement intensity cannot be determined from available data.
