UNSPSC 11151702: Cotton yarn

UNSPSC 11151702 Cotton yarn is a Commodity code covering spun cotton thread and yarn used in textile production, apparel manufacturing, and industrial sewing applications. State and local governments procure cotton yarn primarily through school districts for vocational and home economics programs, corrections departments for inmate work and garment production, and municipal facilities management for uniform and work-clothing fabrication. The code also sees activity from state departments managing textile inventories for emergency management and public health operations. Demand reflects both routine operational consumption and periodic program refreshes tied to curriculum updates or facility equipment cycles.

The recent opportunities block contains no entries for UNSPSC 11151702, indicating minimal documented state and local solicitation activity under this code as of the current date. Cotton yarn procurement at the state and local level typically occurs through standing vendor relationships, small-value purchase orders, or cooperative purchasing agreements rather than formal RFP or IFB notices, and accordingly generates sparse public notice activity.
