UNSPSC 11131604: Fish eggs

UNSPSC 11131604 Fish eggs (Commodity) shows no recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope; the three opportunities tagged to this code instead solicit pet clinic supplies, horse farm feed and shavings, and chicken lay crumbles—none of which constitute fish eggs or aquaculture-related products. The mismatch suggests either miscoding by issuing bodies or that this code does not represent active state and local procurement categories in current practice.

The limited opportunities in the source span three distinct issuing bodies—Harris County Public Health Services Office in Texas (ITB for pet clinic supplies), DeKalb County in Georgia (ITB for feed, hay, and shavings for a horse farm, due July 23, 2026), and Texas A&M University's Division of Finance Procurement Services (ITB for chicken lay crumbles, due January 27, 2026)—with no geographic or issuing-body concentration apparent. The absence of opportunities actually buying fish eggs, aquaculture supplies, or related products under this code suggests minimal current pursuit value; business development professionals should verify with issuing bodies whether fish eggs and related products are being procured under alternative UNSPSC codes or whether this code is genuinely inactive in state and local markets.
