UNSPSC 11131503: Animal hair

UNSPSC 11131503 Animal hair is a Commodity code, but the recent state and local procurement activity under this code shows no alignment with animal hair products or materials. Klein Independent School District in Harris County, Texas posted an RFP (#26-101) on April 17, 2026, with a June 5, 2026 response deadline, soliciting Career Technical Education (CTE) and Advanced Academics instructional resources—including textbooks, STEM enrichment materials, dual-credit coursework products, technology software and equipment, and specialized instructional supplies across 17 CTE program areas (agricultural science, barbering and cosmetology, health sciences, welding, manufacturing, and others). This procurement does not involve animal hair sourcing, processing, or sale, and the code assignment appears to be a mislabeling in the issuing body's categorization system.

The source provides no additional recent opportunities under UNSPSC 11131503 that involve actual animal hair procurement. Without recent state and local solicitations that correctly reflect the code's nominal scope, the activity visible here does not support a business development decision on the animal hair category itself. Firms sourcing animal hair products for state and local education, government operations, or related functions should verify the correct UNSPSC assignment in future RFPs and RFQs rather than relying on this code's recent posting history.
