UNSPSC 11101607: Silver ore

UNSPSC 11101607 Silver ore (Commodity) shows little relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The code nominally describes the purchase of silver ore as a raw material input, yet the most recent opportunities tagged under this code reflect unrelated work: park irrigation system installation (City of DeBary, Florida), structural metals supply (City of Fort Worth), and law enforcement equipment (Sourcewell cooperative). None of these solicitations involve silver ore procurement or precious-metal extraction, indicating a classification mismatch rather than actual activity in the commodity space. State and local agencies rarely procure raw silver ore directly; the code appears to be applied inconsistently or in error across the recent opportunities in the dataset.

Without substantive evidence of silver ore procurement at the state or local level, the code does not present a meaningful business development signal for vendors in the precious-metals supply chain. The geographic and issuing-body distribution across the three tagged opportunities (Florida, Texas, and Washington) reflects the unrelated work assigned to the code, not a genuine procurement pattern. Firms focused on silver ore supply or recycled precious-metals sourcing should monitor this code for future activity, but current opportunities are not actionable under the code's nominal scope.
