UNSPSC 11101604: Copper ore

UNSPSC 11101604 Copper ore (Commodity) shows little relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The three most recent opportunities tagged under this code—an irrigation system installation project from the City of DeBary, Florida; a metals supply agreement from the City of Fort Worth, Texas; and a law enforcement equipment cooperative procurement from Sourcewell on behalf of multiple Washington and Minnesota counties—do not involve copper ore procurement. The DeBary project centers on Hunter brand irrigation controllers and piping; Fort Worth is sourcing aluminum, iron, rebar, and structural steel; and the Sourcewell RFP addresses law enforcement equipment. None of these solicitations call for copper ore as a primary commodity or material input, suggesting either systematic tagging misalignment or that copper ore procurement through state and local channels occurs outside the opportunities currently indexed under this code.

Without recent copper-ore-specific solicitations in the source data, no issuing-body pattern, geographic concentration, or representative opportunities can be reliably characterized for this code. A business development professional evaluating activity here should verify whether copper ore demand appears under alternative UNSPSC classifications or through direct outreach to state procurement offices, mining-adjacent public utilities, and water or infrastructure agencies that might require ore-based materials.
