UNSPSC 11101525: Kieserite

UNSPSC 11101525 Kieserite is a Commodity code for magnesium sulfate mineral products, but recent state and local solicitations tagged under this code show minimal relevance to the code's nominal scope. Of three recent opportunities posted in the dataset, none involve kieserite or magnesium sulfate procurement. The City of Fort Worth's RFP 26-0222 (due July 23, 2026) solicits structural steel, aluminum, iron, rebar, and related metals—categories unrelated to mineral sulfates. A Sourcewell cooperative purchasing RFP #061626 targets law enforcement equipment for use by counties and municipal entities across multiple states. A third opportunity from the City of DeBary, Florida involves irrigation system installation services. The mismatch between the code's definition and the work actually being tagged suggests either miscoding in source systems or that kieserite itself sees limited state and local procurement activity.

No state and local contracts specifically soliciting kieserite or magnesium sulfate products appear in the recent-opportunities block. The code shows no identifiable pattern of issuing bodies, geographic concentration, or representative active procurements. Business development professionals evaluating this code should treat the recent activity as a signal that kieserite does not currently drive meaningful state and local contracting volume under this classification—and confirm with target agencies whether procurement needs exist in adjacent mineral or chemical codes instead.
