UNSPSC 11101507: Graphite

UNSPSC 11101507 Graphite, a Commodity code, does not reflect the actual work state and local governments are currently purchasing under this designation. The three recent opportunities associated with the code involve structural steel and metal materials (aluminum, iron, rebar, expanded metal, and grating), law enforcement equipment, and park irrigation system installation — none of which constitute graphite procurement. The code shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its nominal scope.

The Fort Worth opportunity (RFP 26-0222, due July 23, 2026) represents the most substantial recent solicitation, seeking a non-exclusive supplier agreement for structural metals on an as-needed basis with a 30 percent small business participation goal for certified firms in the Fort Worth region. The Sourcewell cooperative procurement (RFP #061626, due June 16, 2026) targets law enforcement equipment through a multi-state framework serving thousands of public entities across the United States and Canada. A third posting from the City of DeBary, Florida covers park irrigation system upgrades. The mismatch between the graphite commodity code and these diversified work categories suggests either tagging inconsistency in the source system or that graphite procurement under this code does not currently appear in published state and local solicitations. Firms evaluating this code should verify the actual commodity definition with issuing bodies before pursuing opportunities tagged to it.
