UNSPSC 10452011: Dried cut phalaenopsis chibae orchid

Dried cut bloom of the chibae variety of phalaenopsis orchid

UNSPSC 10452011 Dried cut phalaenopsis chibae orchid is a Commodity code with no recent state and local procurement activity aligned to its nominal scope. The two opportunities posted under this code — Pinellas County's environmental planting, monitoring, and maintenance services contract and Columbus Consolidated Government's arts and craft and recreational supplies procurement — do not involve the purchase of dried cut orchids or any orchid products. The environmental planting solicitation focuses on invasive species removal, native plant installation, and wetland monitoring across sites including stormwater ponds and surface water conveyances. The arts and craft solicitation seeks discount pricing on hobby and recreational supplies for parks and recreation programming. Neither opportunity reflects the dried floral product category the code nominally describes.

The mismatch between the code's product category and the actual work being solicited under it signals that this code does not represent active state and local procurement demand for dried cut orchids. The recent posting activity suggests either miscoding by issuing bodies or a taxonomy designation that does not align with current purchasing patterns in the state and local market.
