UNSPSC 10451900: Dried cut arachnis orchids

Dried cut blooms of the arachnis type of orchids

UNSPSC 10451900 Dried cut arachnis orchids is a Class code that shows minimal alignment with recent state and local procurement activity. The two most recent opportunities posted under this code involve environmental planting and monitoring services (Pinellas County, Florida) and arts and craft supplies (Columbus Consolidated Government, Georgia)—neither of which involves dried orchids or botanicals in any form. The environmental planting solicitation calls for invasive plant removal, native plant installation, wetland management, and regulatory monitoring across multiple sites; the arts and craft solicitation requests general hobby and recreational supplies for parks and recreation programming. Neither opportunity reflects the nominal scope of the code, suggesting either miscoding by the issuing jurisdictions or inactive procurement demand under this particular commodity designation.

Recent activity is geographically scattered across Florida and Georgia, with no clear concentration or pattern of repeat buyers in the dried orchid space. Pinellas County issued an RFP (250628RFP) on June 30, 2025, due July 29, 2025, for a five-year environmental services contract with SBE set-asides; Columbus Consolidated Government issued an RFB (PE70662NONST2026000000093) on February 4, 2026, due February 25, 2026, for arts and craft supplies with an estimated annual volume of $30,000 to $50,000. The code appears dormant for its stated commodity purpose in state and local procurement.
