UNSPSC 10441516: Dried cut single bloom purple bi color carnation

Dried cut bloom of the purple bi color variety of single bloom carnations

UNSPSC 10441516 Dried cut single bloom purple bi color carnation is a Commodity code with no recent state and local procurement activity that aligns with its scope. The two most recent opportunities tagged to this code—Pinellas County's environmental planting and monitoring services RFP and Columbus Consolidated Government's arts and craft supplies RFB—do not procure dried cut carnations or any florals matching the code's narrow product definition. The environmental planting opportunity focuses on invasive plant removal, native plant installation, wetland monitoring, and ecological restoration across stormwater sites and parks, while the arts and craft supplies solicitation seeks general recreational materials for youth and senior programming. Neither represents actual demand under this Commodity code.

The mismatch between the code assignment and the work being solicited suggests that state and local procurement offices are either using this code as a catch-all for plant and floral-related categories or applying it in error to broader environmental and recreational supply categories. Business development professionals should verify the actual scope of opportunities before committing resources to pursuit. Current activity under this Commodity code does not support floriculture or dried-flower supply operations.
