UNSPSC 10431637: Dried cut sirius pompon chrysanthemum

Dried cut bloom of the sirius variety of pompon chrysanthemum flowers

UNSPSC 10431637 Dried cut sirius pompon chrysanthemum is a Commodity code that bears little relevance to the recent state and local contract opportunities posted under it. The code nominally describes a horticultural product — dried ornamental flowers — yet the two most recent opportunities solicited under this code involve environmental restoration services and arts and craft supplies, neither of which align with procurement of dried cut flowers or their direct equivalents.

The mismatch suggests a tagging error in the state and local procurement system rather than active market demand for dried cut chrysanthemums. No recent state or local government RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB shows genuine procurement of the commodity as named. Pinellas County, Florida issued an RFP for environmental planting, monitoring, and maintenance services covering invasive plant removal, native plant installation, and wetland management across multiple county sites — a scope entirely unrelated to cut flower inventory. Columbus Consolidated Government in Georgia issued an RFB for arts and craft and recreational supplies for parks and recreation programs, also unrelated to the dried flower commodity. State and local procurement activity under this code is not present.
