UNSPSC 10425500: Dried cut physostegias or obedient plant

Dried cut blooms of physostegias

UNSPSC 10425500 Dried cut physostegias or obedient plant is a Class code that shows minimal recent procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. State and local governments rarely solicit this specific commodity through formal bid or RFP processes. The two most recent opportunities tagged to this code diverge sharply from dried cut physostegias: Pinellas County's environmental services RFP concerns native plant installation, invasive species removal, and wetland monitoring across a five-year contract (2025–2030), while Columbus Consolidated Government's arts and craft supplies RFB seeks general recreational materials for parks departments on an annual basis of $30,000 to $50,000. Neither opportunity involves procurement of dried ornamental plant material.

The mismatch between code classification and actual solicitation scope reflects the challenges of taxonomy application in state and local purchasing systems. Pinellas County (Florida) and Columbus Consolidated Government (Georgia) represent the only recent issuers under this code, and their work has no substantive connection to dried physostegias. No pattern of repeat buyers, geographic concentration, or coherent market activity emerges. This code presents little practical opportunity for vendors focused on dried ornamental plants or floristry supplies at the state and local level.
