UNSPSC 10425004: Dried cut yellow marigold

Dried cut bloom of yellow variety of marigolds

UNSPSC 10425004 Dried cut yellow marigold is a Commodity code that shows little relevant recent activity. The two most recent state and local opportunities tagged to this code do not align with its scope. Pinellas County's Environmental Planting, Monitoring, Reporting and Maintenance Services RFP seeks native plant installation and wetland ecology services — a broad environmental restoration contract that references 150 native plant species but does not specify dried cut marigolds as a procurement item. Columbus Consolidated Government's RFB for arts and craft, hobby, and recreational supplies covers general craft materials for parks and recreation programming, not horticultural inputs. Neither solicitation indicates demand for dried cut yellow marigold as a product line.

The geographic activity captured under this code appears limited to Florida and Georgia based on these two records, but the mismatch between the code's nominal scope and what is actually being solicited suggests that state and local procurement activity for dried cut yellow marigold either does not occur at a volume that triggers UNSPSC classification or is classified under a different code when purchased. Vendors pursuing this code should verify whether state and local horticultural or floral supply procurement is regularly tagged to it in their target jurisdictions before investing in pursuit strategy.
