UNSPSC 10418110: Dried cut pincushion orange protea

Dried cut bloom of the pincushion orange variety of proteas

UNSPSC 10418110 Dried cut pincushion orange protea is a Commodity code that shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its nominal scope. The two most recently posted state and local opportunities tagged under this code bear no connection to dried cut protea flowers; instead, they solicit environmental planting and maintenance services (Pinellas County, Florida) and arts and craft supplies for recreation programs (Columbus Consolidated Government, Georgia). Neither solicitation references protea or dried floral materials, suggesting either tagging error or a significant divergence between the code's intended use and actual procurement practice under it.

The environmental planting RFP from Pinellas County, posted February 26, 2026 with a July 29, 2025 response deadline, sought firms to provide invasive plant removal, native plant installation, and wetland monitoring across a five-year contract period; the Columbus RFB, posted February 4, 2026 with a February 25, 2026 bid deadline, solicited general arts and craft supplies for parks and recreation divisions. Neither represents a market for dried protea. State and local procurement activity under this code does not support a business development strategy focused on dried cut flower supply.
