UNSPSC 10417972: Dried cut yungacense hippeastrum

Dried cut bloom of the yungacense variety of hippeastrum

UNSPSC 10417972 Dried cut yungacense hippeastrum is a Commodity code with minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned to its nominal scope. The two recent opportunities tagged under this code diverge sharply from dried floral products: one solicits environmental planting, monitoring, and native plant restoration services; the other requests arts, craft, hobby, and recreational supplies for parks and recreation programming. Neither transaction involves dried cut flowers or hippeastrum specimens, suggesting either data-entry misclassification or that state and local agencies rarely procure this specific dried flower product under formal solicitation.

The geographic activity reflected in the source spans Florida (Pinellas County) and Georgia (Columbus Consolidated Government), though the work scopes—ecological restoration and recreational supplies—do not map to the code's defined commodity. State and local procurement under this code, based on recent opportunities, shows no meaningful market signal for dried cut yungacense hippeastrum products. A business development professional evaluating this code should treat it as dormant for purposes of state and local floral procurement and verify classification before pursuing opportunities tagged to it.
