UNSPSC 10417949: Dried cut nelsonii hippeastrum

Dried cut bloom of the nelsonii variety of hippeastrum

UNSPSC 10417949 Dried cut nelsonii hippeastrum is a Commodity code with little recent activity aligned to its nominal scope. The code nominally names a specific dried-flower product — cut nelsonii hippeastrum (amaryllis) — but state and local governments show no recent solicitation demand for this item under this code. The two most recent opportunities tagged to this code are unrelated to dried cut flowers: Pinellas County's RFP for environmental planting, monitoring, and maintenance services (invasive plant removal, native plant installation, wetland monitoring, and ecosystem restoration); and Columbus Consolidated Government's RFB for arts and craft, hobby, and recreational supplies for the Department of Parks and Recreation. Neither opportunity involves procurement of dried cut hippeastrum or florals of any kind.

Geographic activity on this code spans Florida and Georgia based on recent posts, but the mismatch between the code's nominal commodity definition and the work actually being solicited suggests either systematic mis-tagging in state procurement systems or minimal true demand for dried cut nelsonii hippeastrum at the state and local level. Business development professionals should verify whether a more broadly scoped florals or botanical-supplies code exists before assuming this Commodity code represents a viable procurement opportunity.
