UNSPSC 10417918: Dried cut chionedyanthum hippeastrum

Dried cut bloom of the chionedyanthum variety of hippeastrum

UNSPSC 10417918 Dried cut chionedyanthum hippeastrum is a Commodity code that shows little relevant recent activity. The code nominally refers to a specific dried ornamental flower variety, but the two recent state and local opportunities tagged under it address environmental services (wetland restoration and invasive plant removal in Pinellas County, Florida) and arts and craft supplies (parks and recreation programming in Columbus, Georgia). Neither opportunity involves procurement of the dried botanical product the code describes, indicating a mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the work actually being solicited by state and local buyers under this designation.

No solicitations for dried cut chionedyanthum hippeastrum flowers themselves appear in recent state and local procurement activity. Buyers evaluating this code should verify the accuracy of the code assignment in their procurement systems and consider whether the opportunities listed reflect data-entry errors, mis-classification by issuing bodies, or a genuine but narrow market in this commodity that recent notices do not reflect.
