UNSPSC 10416209: Dried cut festiva maxima peony

Dried cut bloom of the festiva maxima variety of peony

UNSPSC 10416209 Dried cut festiva maxima peony, a Commodity code, does not align with recent state and local procurement activity. The code nominally describes a specific dried floral product, yet the recent opportunities posted under this code involve environmental planting and maintenance services (Pinellas County) and arts, craft, hobby, and recreational supplies (Columbus Consolidated Government). Neither opportunity involves dried peonies or cut floral products of any kind, indicating a significant mismatch between the code's stated scope and actual procurement use.

The mismatch suggests either misclassification in the issuing bodies' tagging systems or that this Commodity code is not actively used for its intended product category in current state and local procurement. State and local buyers pursuing actual dried peony supply would likely tag opportunities under a different UNSPSC code. Business development professionals evaluating this code should treat it as dormant for practical procurement purposes and focus instead on codes more actively tagged by jurisdictions sourcing floral products or environmental supplies.
