UNSPSC 10402162: Dried cut orange intuition rose

Dried cut bloom of the orange intuition variety of rose

UNSPSC 10402162 Dried cut orange intuition rose is a Commodity code that shows minimal alignment with actual state and local procurement activity. The recent opportunities posted under this code involve environmental planting and maintenance services and arts and craft supplies—neither of which corresponds to dried cut flowers or the nominal code scope. Pinellas County, Florida is soliciting environmental management services including invasive plant removal, native plant installation, wetland monitoring, and regulatory reporting across mitigation sites and stormwater facilities; Columbus Consolidated Government, Georgia is seeking arts and craft and hobby supplies for parks and recreation programming. Neither solicitation involves dried cut botanicals or the product category the code name suggests. The mismatch between the code designation and the work actually being bought indicates this code may be incorrectly applied in state and local systems or that recent activity does not reflect its intended commodity scope.

Geographic activity is concentrated in Florida and Georgia based on the two posted opportunities, but the sparse recent record and categorical misalignment suggest minimal meaningful procurement volume under this code for vendors in the dried cut flowers or botanicals space. State and local buyers appear to be tagging unrelated work to this code, making it an unreliable sourcing target. A vendor seeking state and local contracts in environmental services or recreational supplies should pursue those categories under their correct UNSPSC classifications rather than rely on this code's current posting history.
